This is a great site! I wish I had known about it sooner, I probably would have used it for the assignment.

Week 13 - Thsrs, Wordle, ToonDoo
Thsrs - This could be a useful tool for writers. Finding shorter words or similar words for a word you are using frequently.
Wordle - Is a fun tool, I have seen the wordles in various places and wondered how people created them. This could be a useful tool when designing posters.
ToonDoo - Appears to be a fun tool to use for creating comic strips or short stories. This could easily be incorporated into a class assignment.

Week 12 - Giffy, Gimp
Giffy appears to be a great product! It would be nice to develop flow charts digitally. I would be nice to be able work with it more and see how it could work with a group.
Gimp - There are many products out there that allow you to manipulate photos. When I develop a project with animations I will test this further to see how useful it is with animations.

Week 11 - Ustream.tv, Bubbl.us and esnips
Ustream - blocked on high schools computers probably cannot use it for class. Since I cannot get into it from this computer I will have to explore it at a later time.
Bubbl.us - Seems like a great way to conduct a brainstorming session and then be able to distribute the notes electronically to everyone in the class. This would be a great tool for any class that does a lot of group work.
esnips - is a community where you can share different projects online. I find that there are getting to be a lot of these types of web sites. Individuals just have to choose one or two that make the most sense for them. On this site it looks like you could share anything, whereas other sites you are limited to what type of file you can share. This site does have a limitation on free space.

Week 10 Scribd, Paint.net and Furl
Scribd seems interesting if you are looking for a certian topic to read about. I can see how it could help you to stay up to date on current literature.
Paint.net is wonderful! There are alot of features in this software and for it to be provided for free is great news for educators who are trying to teach students, but cannot afford high tech software. This site provides what the students need.
Furl - is yet another social network. I have a hard time keeping up with my local social network. I can't even imagin taking the time to check all of these online social networks everyday. I can see how it would be helpful to someone who is extremely social. Myself, I don't even have time to do my homework.

Week 9 - FreePath, Nvu, Text the Mob
Free path could be a very useful tool. I just have to wonder would it take more time for me to teach my students how to use freepath than to teach them to hand in their work in a certian format. For this reason it may not be that helpful for my class, however in a business where presentations are created in different formats and shared frequently with others this would be a very useful tool.
Nvu may be a great product, but right now I do not have the time to explore a new web design tool. I already have web design software so I don't need a different program, maybe if I knew the Nuv web design would make my life easier I would try it, but without that guarantee I have no incentive to switch.
Text the Mob - Seems like a fun tool to teach the kids how to use. Our student council could use it to vote for elections, prom royalty or different issues that come up throughout the year. This could be a fun useful tool for the students.

Week 8 - Stumble Upon, yugma, Zoho
I don't have the patience for stumble upon, I could not find a way to control the type of sites that would pop up. I don't like just stumbling upon something I like to have more control.
Yugma would be great for a business setting but I do not see myself utilizing it for use in my classroom.
Zoho seems like a great way to keep everything organized, It could be very useful in the classroom setting to keep track of assignments. However too many different kinds of projects could get overwhelming.

Week 7 VoiceThread, Spresent, Animoto
Voicethread is great! I wish I had more cool technology like webcams, so I could play with all the features. This will be great to use with my high school class.
Spresent seems like a very powerful tool. However it may be awhile until it is commonly used in high schools because of the cost to install the software on a classroom set of computers. Right now I could install it on one, but then only one student at a time could work on a project.
Animoto is wonderful, I can't wait to play with it more and develop a project for my students to use this technology. This is going to be fun!

Week 6 - Jing- Screen-o-matic
I love Jing and screencast -o-matic. Jing will be a great site for my students to produce and share their work. Screencast is just what I need to develop demonstrations for my students on how to perform a specific task on the computer. I will be able to add these demonstrations to my class web site. I love these tools.
I am not a big fan of diigo I am not a big highlighter so it dosen't really appeal to me. However it is a useful tool and I think many people would enjoy using it.
If I am creative I can see poll everywhere being a useful tool. I Think I could set up a unit test this way, but I am pretty sure I would be limited to true false questions, which are not the best way to test student knowledge. I will have to play more with this one.

Week 5
Picnik is great! There have been so many times where I have had students working with digital photos, and they need to tweek it somehow and the software is not avaliable on their machine. This gives them the ability to rotate a picture no matter what computer they are on ( as long as they have internet access.) Also the price of some of the photo editing software is pretty expensive when all you need to do is rotate a picture.
I love mogulus. This will be perfect for an assignment I give my students to create a video. It will be so much nicer to be able to produce their video on the internet. I am happy to see that these tools are avaliable.
Not a big fan of skrbl. I can see how it would be useful in the right context, but it does not appeal to me.
Whiteboard seems like a fun way to share art work, but I have never masters drawing with a mouse.

Week 4
Pownce seems like another version of facebook, which I have not yet found a great need for. Ning appears to have a unique aspect to it, in that various groups are set up to join certian groups such as Internation Water Polo, would be different than just corresponding with an aquaintance on facebook. Twitter seeems like another facebook type of technology, I have yet to find what makes it unique.

Week 3 - Psychology Videos
I found sensation and perception to be very interesting even though I have seen most of it before. I would like to see greater sensory perceptions I would like to know how Penn and Teller pull of some of their illusions.
Week 3 - Kindling, Skype, Audacity, and ClassSpot
I was not very impressed with Kindling, just because I don't have much use for posting a message for others to vote on, but I can see how it would be useful to a certian group of people.
Skype seems like a great way to communicate. I could not play around very much because I do not have a microphone for my computer.
Audacity is going to be very helpful in my classroom as students create various projects they will be able to record their own sound effects. I think the kids will have a great time using this tool.
Wow! I cannot wait to try ClassSpot in my classroom. This will be a great tool for students to be able to share their work with the class or do their own classroom presentation without having to login to the instructors personal computer. Wow!
